Tiffanny Junee

Since 2010, Tiffanny has been mentoring individuals and leadership teams manage through strategic change and relaunch around next tech adoption and communications @work.

 

She has also been nurturing future leaders through the process of academic learning as they transition from high school students to uni students as both a college tutor and university lecturer.

Previously, an academic tutor at The Women's College within The University of Sydney, Tiffanny has also taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students across multiple institutions and vocations.

 

Since 2011, she has been a sessional lecturer in the MECO Department at The University of Sydney where she currently teaches Leadership Communications, Social Issues Marketing, Health Communications and Crisis Communications in the Masters of Health Communications, Masters of Strategic PR, and Masters of Digital Communications programs.

 

Tiffanny's love affair with academia began mid career when working as the Head of Corporate Communications for Hyundai Motor Company Australia, she made the decision to step away from in-house corporate, to follow her passions of writing, research and mentoring.

 

In 2011, she completed her Masters and discovered the joy of teaching when the professor marking her dissertation - 'To Tweet or Not to Tweet: Social Media As Strategic Communications In Australian Rugby Union' asked her to teach in his media relations and strategic PR courses.

 

Tiffanny is the founder and academic head of Digital Media Academy. 

 

DMA started out as a social media mentoring and research business born out of her postgraduate studies.

 

Since 2019, the DMA offering has provided practical academic and mental fitness supports (often unavailable to students as and when they need them) to best manage the ups and downs of the end of school HSC / start of uni  - aka learning as an adult  journey.

 

Not surprisingly, the DMA solution couples dedicated in person academic support, as well as online supports via our website and purpose-built app 24/7.

 

The tutoring and mentoring @school @uni @work and @play reflects Tiffanny's unique catalogue of global expertise in business, academia as well as the business of sport.

 

A former rugby union editor, and marketing director Tiffanny has extensive business as well as academic mentoring experience. 

 

Her understanding of high performance mindsets (and vulnerabilities) informing the practical guides, programs and toolkits she has designed for the DMA community of scholars to 'Learn How 2 Learn @School and @Uni Success series.

Tiffanny is passionate about teaching students How 2 Learn and aims to evolve her students into scholars who are confident @school and @uni irrespective of whether their experience to date has been relatively easy or often times challenging.

 

Tiffanny's approach to learning and academic advancement sets her students up for success as independent and intrinsically motivated learners, harnessing any additional learning challenges as opportunities and turning them into super powers.

 

Teaching and learning is not only a passion, it's in Tiffanny's blood.

 

Tiffanny is an 8th generation educator and ever since her maternal great grandfather (x7) founded what is now known as Sydney Grammar School in 1825, her family has registered at least one practicing educator per generation.

 

Her mother, brother, sister, aunt and some cousins all teachers who have (or are) working in the public, independent and catholic schools (primary and secondary) systems.
